This setup is ready to work with;

• The 0.5mm QFP Adapter Pod is from Emulation Technology. This is a 0.5mm lead pitch SMT Prototyping Board, Part #ET-8100-SMT7. This particular SMT Adapter accepts either a QFP-208 or -240 on one side, and QFP-100, -128, or -144 on the other side.

  This Adapter Pod has already been used for a wire-wrapped Z183 prototype, and was especially useful, since it allowed most of the logic to sit directly underneath.

• Machine-pin interconnect strips are soldered into the underside of the SMT adapter. These are Samtec BBD series; the particular part number is BBD-113-T-C.
• A ''production'' QFP-100 socket with metal lid (Yamaichi IC-198 Series) is soldered to the QFP adapter board -- it can be reused if the metal lid is removed properly (delicately). Here is a link to Yamaichi Electronics USA, and a link to the PDF data sheet for these sockets, s_ic198.pdf (750KB)

  This Yamaichi production socket is the "cheapest" QFP-100 socket I found (actual price: about $10, but you must buy minimum ten of them from a Yamaichi distributor.) I still have about 10 left because actually I bought 12!

• The ISA prototyping card is a 2-sided PCB from Twin Industries shaped exactly for a perfect fit in any 16-bit ISA slot: ISA Prototyping Board #7098-52.

  I purchased my ISA prototyping card from Frey's Electronics in West Los Angeles, in 2001.

Wire-wrap labels were printed and glued to the underside.		EAGLE printed to scale, so the numbers line up on 0.1" Centers.
